I am a Graduate Student at Texas State University, studying Mass Communications with an emphasis in Digital Media. Currently, I am the Ad Operations Coordinator for Four Kicks Marketing in Austin, Texas focusing on Facebook Advertising. I hope to use this site as a portfolio to highlight my website design and coding skills, writing samples, assignments from my graduate program, and to showcase who I am both personally and professionally.

The SXTXState project is the main reason I applied to graduate school at Texas State. Having lived in Austin for over 6 years and attended the festival in different capacities over the years, I know SXSW is a great opportunity to network with people in multiple industries, learn about a multitude of topics, listen to fascinating speakers and interesting panels, and be introduced to new music, films, and technology. I first attended SXSW in 2003, and can pinpoint that as the reason I decided to move to Austin from East Texas upon graduating college in 2009. I was lucky enough to be selected to participate in this elite program for Spring 2017, and look forward to attending and reporting on the conference this March.

My passions include social media, writing, sports, music, film, and travel. I am constantly consuming articles from outlets such as Consequence of Sound and ESPN. During my commutes to San Marcos, I enjoy listening to podcasts from Bill Simmons and This American Life. You can see some articles I have had published on other websites on my Writing Samples page, and my other hobbies and activities on my Interests page.

I married my beautiful wife Amanda in 2015. We live together in Austin, Texas and have two cats. We love traveling together, hiking the greenbelt near where we live, eating tacos and hamburgers, and watching movies and Game of Thrones. She is also in graduate school, but at the University of Texas at Austin. She is my rock and my support system, helping me achieve my goals and pushing me to do more than I thought possible. She inspired me to apply for the graduate program I am apart of at Texas State. Check out my Twitter feed and give me a follow!
