In January of 2016, I began my graduate coursework at Texas State University where I am studying Mass Communications with emphasis in Digital Media.
I graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler with Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development in December of 2009.
Upon graduating high school in 2005, I attended Tyler Junior College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree with emphasis Behavioral Science in 2007.
I moved to Austin at the beginning of 2010 upon graduating from UT Tyler, and took a position at Mercedes Benz of Austin, where I started in the Service Department in a Customer Service capacity before switching to the Sales team as a photographer and web assistant.
In December 2012, I took a position at Main Street Hub as Social Media Sales Representative, cold-calling small businesses across the country to pitch them social media management services.
In June of 2013, I joined up with car2go at their North American headquarters in Austin, first as a Marketing Assistant and then transitioned to a Customer Service role.
At the beginning of 2015, I took a Sales and Marketing position with a Dallas based company called PathMaker Group, working remotely from Austin along with the Director of Sales. I eventually transitioned to a role more closely aligned with my interests as Digital Media Analyst, during which I applied to the program at Texas State University where I am now currently enrolled.
In July 2016, I joined Four Kicks Marketing as an Ad Operations Coordinator, focusing on Facebook Advertising for clients from different industries located across the country.
I have also been a contributor to the running-focused traveling company Rogue Expeditions based in Austin, primarily handling their Twitter account and assisting on other social media platforms since May 2016.
During the Fall of 2016, I was a Music Journalist for KTSW 89.9 San Marcos, contributing to their blog and reviewing albums for airplay on the station. I have also been an Assistant coach at Rogue Running during two different training seasons. This Spring, I was fortunate enough to be selected to an elite program at Texas State who will be attending SXSW Interactive over Spring Break and reporting on the conference at SXTXState.com.
